未朝某年，山東李彌將軍因?qū)Τ⒊邵E彪炳，獲封她贈(zèng)金告老歸田，安享天年。其子李玉乃飽學(xué)之士，書(shū)畫(huà)琴棋無(wú)所不精，其妻阮氏亦十分賢淑。但不久李玉夜里常作惡夢(mèng)，夢(mèng)中皆是些戰(zhàn)亂中慘死之亡魂不斷纏擾，而在夜里李竟將妻和她表兄二人殘暴殺死，自此後李玉變得神態(tài)失常。
