 明朝年間，錦衣衛(wèi)陸欽因罪被發(fā)配充軍，途中因緣際會，與樊英押送貪官張嵩回京指認(rèn)通敵太監(jiān)王公公。經(jīng)過生死追逃，最終陸欽犧牲，張嵩抵京，卻被王公公處死于監(jiān)牢。多年后，王公公被樊英擊殺，善惡終得報(bào)。

　　In a small rural community local police officers Zoe and Patrick begin their shift as normal but it soon becomes clear that something is wrong. Strange events unfold before their eyes, residents begin behaving strangely and mass suicide panic spreads amongst the community they are trying to protect. Zoe and Patrick realise they are under siege from alien machines as they become cut off from the outside world. They are forced to do battle against these uninvited visitors. With the help of some of the residents Zoe and Patrick begin unravelling the mystery and soon discover it is not all as it seems. The duo become a trio as well-to-do Lou joins them, and life on the island takes shape under the command of devout Matron. The trio rail against the system, dubious of the benevolence of the bible and taking refuge in their blossoming friendship. It’s hard to reform girls who don’t believe they need reforming. However, a sense of doom settles in when experimental forms of punishment take place in the dead of night. Nellie and Daisy plot rebellion, but unexpectedly find themselves at odds with Lou, who is afraid to break the rules.
