　　北洋政府統(tǒng)治時期，盤踞上海的軍閥武大帥之子武七（文章 飾）為洗刷恥辱，輾轉(zhuǎn)找到了前清遺老馬走日（姜文 飾）求助。在此之后，馬走日和在法租界當(dāng)警督的發(fā)小項飛田（葛優(yōu) 飾）聯(lián)手策劃了名為“花域總統(tǒng)選舉”的大型選美活動，和馬從小就認識的現(xiàn)總統(tǒng)完顏英（舒淇 飾）成功衛(wèi)冕。誰知就在繁華喧囂的最頂點，命運之車竟急轉(zhuǎn)直下駛向深淵。在一個平凡的早上，完顏陳尸郊野，張皇失措的馬走日找到武七的姐姐武六（周韻 飾）及其母親齊老師（洪晃 飾），希望通過大帥幫自己洗刷殺人犯的罪名，結(jié)果卻盲打誤撞救下了險些被整死的項飛田。背負殺人犯之名的馬絕路逃亡，而武六則以該事件拍攝了名為《槍斃馬走日》的電影，馬的命運愈加撲朔迷離……　　本片根據(jù)民國奇案“閻瑞生案”改編。

　　小松左京の同名SF小説を原作に、超能力を持つ諜報員?エスパイたちの活躍を描く。當(dāng)時の技術(shù)で、果敢に超能力を表現(xiàn)しようとする試みが光る。田村、マリア、三木の3人は、國連の秘密組織’“エスパイ”で働いていた。エスパイとは、超能力を悪用する逆エスパイと戦うための超能力者を養(yǎng)成する機関である。やがて、東西冷戦の要?バルトニアの首相暗殺計畫をめぐって3人の活躍が始まる……。

　　Following her mother’s death, manga artist Soriya travels to her ancestral home in Phnom Penh, with hopes of reconnecting with her distant family and using the visit as inspiration for her work. All goes well initially. Renting an apartment in Metta, a rundown Khmer Rouge-era housing complex, her visit to her maternal relatives finds her welcomed with open arms. But Soriya’s waking hours in the apartment and its surroundings are punctuated by terrifying, bloody visions, almost as though she were a conduit for horrors of the past wanting to seep into the present.　　Inrasothythep Neth and Sokyou Chea’s blood-chilling psychological horror explores a personal and political past through the present, transforming a characterful space into an insidious environment. Surrounded by modern high-rises, this decrepit structure, with its brutalist architecture and peeling surfaces, is a relic from a dark period in history whose painful memories it has absorbed. In tracing Soriya’s ominous journey back to her roots, Tenement hints at a necessary reckoning with Cambodia’s political past without overplaying its historical dimension. It’s an impressive work from a woefully underrepresented national cinema.

 本片是同一故事第三度重拍的版本。此片將好萊塢的背景改成今日的搖滾樂壇，男主角原是著名的搖滾樂歌手，而女主角則在小型夜總會賣藝。影片中有不少熱門插曲，部分片段的鏡頭和表演都不俗，但整體則顯得有點矯揉造作，角色欠缺真正的生命感，不過娛樂性還是維持相當(dāng)水準(zhǔn)。本片曾獲奧斯卡最佳電影插曲金像獎。
