2029年，韓國載人飛船“探月號”出發(fā)前往月球，即將產生第二個成功登月的國家，任務備受全世界矚目。然而“探月號”不幸遇上太陽黑子爆發(fā)所引致的太陽風暴，發(fā)生嚴重意外，宇航員黃善宇（都暻秀 飾）成為“探月號”的唯一幸存者。為了營救流浪月球的黃善宇，隱居小白山天文臺的前載人飛船飛行總監(jiān)金載國（薛景求 飾），加入了救援行動，同時韓國政府亦要求美國太空總署（NASA）的總監(jiān)尹文英（金喜愛 飾）及月球門戶太空站介入協助，但卻一直遇上重重阻撓。載人飛船的燃料將近耗盡，氧氣亦正在倒數，再加上流星雨撞擊與月震，被孤立在38.4萬公里以外月球上的宇航員黃善宇，個人的一小步也足以令全球人類緊張屏息，到底營救行動會如何發(fā)展？
