  Mikheil Chiaureli是斯大林的御用導(dǎo)演,《攻克柏林》長(zhǎng)達(dá)近五個(gè)小時(shí),分上下兩部,處處著重突出最高統(tǒng)帥的高瞻遠(yuǎn)矚。影片結(jié)尾,斯大林乘飛機(jī)抵達(dá)陷落的柏林,接受蘇軍的歡呼。其實(shí)這是“藝術(shù)虛構(gòu)”。和《斯大林格勒戰(zhàn)役》一樣,這場(chǎng)實(shí)際主要由朱可夫?qū)④娭笓]的戰(zhàn)役,影片中絲毫沒(méi)有他的影子。當(dāng)時(shí)朱可夫已經(jīng)因?yàn)楣Ω哒鹬鳎涣_織罪名,發(fā)配到烏拉爾軍區(qū)去了,這是1946年的事。這部1949年的電影很自然地就將朱可夫的功勞“藝術(shù)虛構(gòu)”到偉大領(lǐng)袖的頭上了。  因?yàn)檫@部影片,導(dǎo)演連續(xù)獲得了兩次國(guó)家獎(jiǎng)金,包括1950年的斯大林獎(jiǎng)金。中國(guó)觀眾熟悉的《難忘的1919》(1952)也是出自這位導(dǎo)演的手筆。值得一提的是,這兩部影片都是由蘇聯(lián)作曲家肖斯塔科維奇譜曲的。

  Set in an underground dungeon inhabited by bundled, ragged human beings, after the nuclear holocaust. The story follows the wanderings of a hero through the situations of survival. People wait for the Ark to arrive and rescue them while their habitat falls apart.  Delving deep into the dusty and long abandonded vaults of b-cinema in search of lost gems always leaves me with a bittersweet taste. On one hand the discovery of unexpected gems where no one would think them possible is a rewarding experience. On the other hand though it makes one wonder how many of these remarkable low-budget oddities, personal love affairs of directors never quite famous and now all but forgotten, have almost forever slipped from memory?  n any case what we have here is a little post-apocalyptic gem from Poland that is really better than it has any right to. The dystopian near future of O-BI, O-BA finds a group of survivors of the nuclear war that ravaged the Earth inhabiting an underworld concrete bunker and biding their time as they wait for the mysterious Ark, an air ship of some kind that will come and save them. The Ark proves to be an elaborate hoax, carefully designed to give hope to the malnourished and desperate denizens of the bunker, while in the meantime the dome that separates their miserable existence from the nuclear winter outside is slowly caving in.  What first striked me about the movie is the design of the bunker and the depiction of the survivors. The survivors are gaunt, filthy and terrible-looking penitents, dressed in rags and aimlessly wandering the neon-lit halls of the bunker like automatons. The bunker is a rundown, seedy place, with bright neon lights peering from all sides like the eyes of malignant beasts.  On one hand it is a slightly 80's depiction of the dystopian future but the movie never stoops down to MAD MAX cheese. Instead it combines biting political satire with the bleak outlook of a world with no future, black comedy with barbs on apathy, religion and power. The survivors, for example, are fed some kind of flour dropping from a tube that hovers in the air - later on we discover the food supervisor uses books and the Bible itself as filler for this meagre meal. There are many such short symbolic touches, perhaps not life-changing or faith-restoring, yet playful, clever and inspired.  One thing is for sure; O-BI, O-BA is not your run-of-the-mill sci-fi schlock. It overcomes its modest budget with creativity and has genuine artistic aspirations both from a writing and directing perspective. My opinion is that it should have been filmed in black and white instead of colour though. The director uses atmospheric light and shadow to great effect and it would have registered even better in stark black and white. The blue-green neon on the other hand outstays its welcome after a while. Just a minor gripe in an otherwise solid b-movie with its heart set in all the right places.  Imagine a less bleak THE ROAD (Cormac McCarthy) being injected with the satire and humour of DR.STRANGELOVE and you're getting there. See it if you can find it.

飲食男女1994

 臺(tái)灣中國(guó)菜碩果僅存的大師老朱(郎雄)退休后,漸嘗老年生活的諸多尷尬:每周日費(fèi)心做出的一桌豐盛菜肴,并無(wú)將三個(gè)女兒(楊貴媚、吳倩蓮、王渝文)齊齊拉到飯桌的吸引力,已經(jīng)長(zhǎng)大成人的她們,心里藏了許多比陪父親吃飯更重要的事;多年老友的突然離世,令他在友情這塊也有了缺口;而對(duì)廚師來(lái)講最重要的味覺(jué)的喪失,則將其徹底推到人生的低谷。三個(gè)女兒雖各忙各事,卻也操心著老朱的晚年生活,計(jì)劃著為其找個(gè)老伴,但她們沒(méi)料到老朱早已悄無(wú)聲息地談起了“黃昏戀”。吃驚過(guò)后,老朱最看重的繼承了他做菜天賦的二女兒家倩因?yàn)樽陨淼纳罱?jīng)歷,對(duì)父親、她與父親的關(guān)系有了新的認(rèn)識(shí),而對(duì)老朱來(lái)講更大的驚喜,還在后面。
