洪金寶,鐘鎮(zhèn)濤,王祖賢,梁珊,曹查理,陳友在一家珠寶貿(mào)易公司工作的肥丁（洪金寶）因是胖仔外加做人老實(shí)，常被老板娘周太（梁珊）和其弟（曹查理）騎在頭上，重活臟活全要攬下不說，工作稍微出點(diǎn)錯(cuò)就會(huì)被罵得狗血淋頭。一日，他和在貨運(yùn)部工作的同事阿B（鐘鎮(zhèn)濤）一起按老板吩咐送鉆石給中東酋長，之后將所收錢款送往銀行的途中遭劫，周太和其弟不問青紅誣告兩人與劫匪是同伙?！ ≡较朐絹須獾姆识Q定綁架周太以泄壓抑已久的怒火。在他準(zhǔn)備行動(dòng)之時(shí)，周家剛從美國歸來的女兒祖兒（王祖賢）正同后母周太發(fā)生激烈的爭吵，結(jié)果陰差陽錯(cuò)祖兒被他綁架，之后又被阿B綁至家中。肥丁在阿B的逼迫下無奈向周家索要贖金，一時(shí)笑料百出。

But Soriya’s waking hours in the apartment and its surroundings are punctuated by terrifying, bloody visions, almost as though she were a conduit for horrors of the past wanting to seep into the present. Inrasothythep Neth and Sokyou Chea’s blood-chilling psychological horror explores a personal and political past through the present, transforming a characterful space into an insidious environment. Surrounded by modern high-rises, this decrepit structure, with its brutalist architecture and peeling surfaces, is a relic from a dark period in history whose painful memories it has absorbed. In tracing Soriya’s ominous journey back to her roots, Tenement hints at a necessary reckoning with Cambodia’s political past without overplaying its historical dimension. It’s an impressive work from a woefully underrepresented national cinema.
