　　Dr Geoff Burton takes up a position at a new institute in wintry Dresden, Germany. His contribution to a former colleague’s important project, a human regeneration gene, has the potential to make something miraculous out of a personal tragedy that has haunted him for years. 　　A man, who years earlier mysteriously abandoned his family and isolated himself in a small northern town, returns for one last chance to reconnect with his troubled daughter. When she goes missing, he risks everything to find her, including exposing the fact that he is becoming invisible.

　　1999年釜山的一個(gè)小村莊里，女學(xué)生恩智（劉慧英飾）被害身亡，她的哥哥張宇（周元飾）也失去了唯一的親人，他決心一定要查出殺害妹妹的兇手。由于一點(diǎn)線索都沒(méi)有，張宇不得不借助能預(yù)知死亡的少女（李柔英飾）的力量來(lái)追查真兇，并在追查的過(guò)程中，盯上了小區(qū)內(nèi)平常人緣和口碑都不錯(cuò)的藥店藥師閔藥局（劉海鎮(zhèn)飾），雖然沒(méi)有證據(jù)，但是張宇卻認(rèn)定他就是“那個(gè)家伙”，于是開(kāi)始24小時(shí)緊盯著閔藥局  。

　　阿美（王祖賢 飾）是個(gè)美麗的女孩子，可是天生腳就有殘疾。她的父親（黃霑 飾）因被堂叔欺騙買下了一間破舊不堪的超級(jí)市場(chǎng)，花掉了畢生積蓄的父親變得瘋瘋癲癲的。阿美既要照顧父親，又要幫忙打理超級(jí)市場(chǎng)，生活的重?fù)?dān)落在了她的身上。在一次交通意外中，司機(jī)梁少祖（周潤(rùn)發(fā) 飾）以為自己 把阿美撞至殘疾，十分內(nèi)疚，便決定要幫助阿美經(jīng)營(yíng)超級(jí)市場(chǎng)。阿美一開(kāi)始并不信任梁少祖，到后來(lái)他聯(lián)合朋友來(lái)幫助自己的超級(jí)市場(chǎng)度過(guò)難關(guān)，心里滿是感動(dòng)，兩人更墜入了愛(ài)河。
